The Biggest Loser: Families episode 10: Football and turkey

Jillian joined Renee and Michelle at the ranch and wasn’t surprised to learn that the blue team voted to send Coleen home. Meanwhile, Bob met with his team and seemed happy when he found out that Amy voted with the blue team to send Coleen home.
Alison greeted the “Biggest Losers” dressed in a Chargers jersey. She then introduced them to NFL stars Jerry Rice and Steve Young. After the introduction, Jerry and Steve turned the “Biggest Loser” ranch into a football training camp when they had the contestants perform various obstacles used to train football players.
Playing ball
After the contestants completed the obstacle course, Jerry and Steve instructed them to do it again, but this time they had to beat their own time from the first round, and the contestant who beat the best time during this round won $5,000 to donate to the school of their choice. In addition to the $5,000 the winning contestant earned, Jerry and Steve announced they’d add another $5,000, which made a total of $10,000.
Vicky won the obstacle course, which showed the remaining six contestants that she may be tough competition as well.
Soon after the obstacle course challenge, the “Biggest Loser” contestants headed to a football stadium to compete against one another for a VIP trip to the Pro Bowl. Alison explained that footballs would be launched into the air and their job was to catch the footballs, and she said they’d receive $500 for each football they caught. Then, after a contestant had the ball, they ran across the field where they could place the ball in any opponents’ rack. Once a contestant had 10 balls in their rack, they were out of the game.
The blue team immediately gained up on Michelle and Renee. They took out Michelle first, and shortly after, they took out Renee. Once Michelle and Renee were out of the game, the girls ganged up on Ed and it was left to Vicky to put him out of the game.
However, instead of eliminating Ed, Vicky placed the ball in Amy’s rack. Amy was up next and took Ed out. As expected, Vicky knocked Amy out of the game, and then it came down to her and Heba. In the end, Vicky came out victorious, and Ed won $500 for catching a football that was launched to him.
After the challenge, Michelle and Renee filled Jillian in on how the blue team bullied them at the challenge.
“I’ll do whatever it takes to help my girls win this game, because nobody bullies my team but me,” Jillian commented.
A lighter Thanksgiving
Later, chef Rocco DiSpirito greeted the “Biggest Loser” contestants with a special Thanksgiving dinner he’d prepared for them. Their mouths watered, of course, but they knew the dinner would pack on the calories. After a bit of teasing, Rocco let the “Biggest Loser” contestants know they wouldn’t be eating the meal he prepared. Instead, he showed them how to prepare a healthier Thanksgiving dinner.
After the “Biggest Loser” contestants enjoyed a healthy Thanksgiving dinner with Rocco, they shed tears instead of pounds as they watched videos of their family.
Hard work and weigh-ins
During the last-chance workout, Michelle and Renee knew they were the only two left from the black team, so they worked their hardest to stay above the yellow line. While Jillian worked with Michelle and Renee, Bob encouraged his team to work hard so they could remain four-strong.
Alison started the weigh-in with Amy, the current “Biggest Loser” on campus.
- Amy lost five pounds (2.89 percent).
- Heba lost seven pounds (3.03 percent).
- Ed lost nine pounds (3.44 percent).
- Vicky lost seven pounds (3.74 percent).
- Renee lost eight pounds (3.86 percent).
- Michelle lost 10 pounds (5.38 percent).
“Good for Michelle, she lost 10 pounds. Good for Renee, she lost 8 pounds. They saved themselves again, but Amy and I are up for elimination . . . that sucks!” Heba remarked.
The elimination
At the elimination, Amy hoped Vicky would keep her word and not vote her out, and she reminded viewers that she’d saved Vicky last week. Soon after, Amy and Heba told their competitors why they should keep them, and then the voting began.
- Michelle voted to send Heba home.
- Renee voted to send Heba home.
- Ed, of course, voted to send Amy home.
- Vicky continued to hold her grudge when she voted to send Amy home.
Because Vicky’s vote created a tie, the person with the lowest percentage of weight loss had to leave, and since Amy’s percentage was lower than Heba’s, she was sent home.
After Amy said goodbye, Alison instructed the teams to pack their bags, and then she told them they’d be heading to New York for a makeover.
When Amy first arrived on the “Biggest Loser” ranch, she wore a size 22, but in her update report, she said she’s down to a size 8.
